Bicycle Rack Design Contest

Monday, August 06, 2018 - 4:30 PM

The City is holding a bicycle rack design contest, open to the public, with cash prizes for the winning designs.

Bike rack design submissions should be fun, creative, safe, and functional. Up to two designs can be submitted by individuals, or groups. Submissions must be received by September 7.

Designs will be judged by an evaluation panel and up to three designs will be selected for the shortlist to be announced during BikeFest on Sunday, September 16. Participants whose designs are selected for the shortlist will have until November 9 to submit a full-scale model or prototype. Designs selected for the shortlist will receive a $2,000 prize.

The shortlist prototypes will be put on display and a public poll will determine which shortlist design will win the Peoples’ Choice Award and an additional $1,000.
