Book Your Appointment: Bulk and Metal Curbside Collection

Residents of St. John's can book a free curbside collection appointment for bulk and metal waste. Almost 60% of appointments are filled, book yours today.
Bulk and metal collection will occur by waste area. For example, if your regular collection day is on Monday, your pickup will be booked between May 24 and 28. See the complete schedule below.

To book an appointment you can:

- Use the ‘St. John’s Waste and Recycling’ app
- Call Access St. John’s at 311 or 754-CITY (2489)
Once booked, please set a reminder on your calendar, and place the items at the curb by 8 a.m. on your assigned collection date.
Before you book, please be sure what you have is bulk waste:
- Maximum size of 1.5 m x 1.5 m x 2.15 m (5 ft x 5 ft x 7 ft)
- Weighs less than 68 kgs (150 lbs)
- Does not fit inside the garbage carts for automated collection
