Bowring Park Swimming Pool Turns 50

The swimming pool at Bowring Park turns 50 years-old this summer, and to celebrate the City of St. John’s and the Bowring Park Foundation are hosting a small event at the pool at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 11.
Swimming patrons will be invited to ride the newly installed water slide and the Bowring Park Foundation, in partnership with Coleman’s grocery store, will be giving away two bicycles through a prize draw.
A picture display of the pool throughout its 50 years will be on display inside the Bowring Park pool house.
