Canada Day - Family Fun Day

Family hugging and celebrating Canada Day

Join the City of St. John’s as we celebrate our community and culture on Canada Day.
 
On July 1, come to King George V Park, 3 Carnell Drive for a full afternoon of family fun and entertainment from 12 to 4 p.m. The event features inflatable bouncers, laser tag, interactive games, balloon twisters, a cultural concert and free cupcakes.
 
An interactive cultural experiences event in collaboration with Sharing our Cultures will feature:
• Tom Alteen with a interactive hand-drumming performance and interactive group drum lesson
• Sheilah Lukins, children’s author from Breakwater Books, with a book reading
 
Entertainment for the afternoon will include performances from:
• Conway – who are also the hosts for the afternoon concert
• St. Pat’s Dancers
• Zay Nova
• Jim Payne & Fergus O’Byrne
• Ana & Eric
 
The Community Food Sharing Association will be collecting nonperishable food items. Pets are not permitted at King George V Park.

Accessible parking spaces and GoBus drop-off and pick-up will be available at the Dominion parking lot (20 Lake Avenue). The GoBus must be booked in advance.

In case of inclement weather, Family Fun Day will move to the Techniplex, 39 Churchill Avenue.
