The High & Lonesome Ramblers formed as the result of a regular Wednesday night jamboree in St. John’s, NL. Instigated by singer and guitar player Matthew Hornell, the weekly concert/open mic/pie raffle event spawned a core house band featuring Carole Bestvater (fiddle), Mark Finch (banjo), Matt Hender (bull fiddle), Dave Rowe (mandolin), and Lucas Rose (guitar). These folks do have fun and their collective energy and musicianship shine through a repertoire comprised of classic and contemporary bluegrass songs and instrumentals.

Visit Water Street next to Kimchi & Sushi to see the process and live painting project. This trained animator and designer spends most of her time drawing, teaching, and studying. Having studied at top art and design colleges such as Grenfell, Sheridan, and Algonquin, and MUN and Dalhousie U as well, Julie brings enthusiasm and energy to all of her endeavors.
