Celebrate winter with a variety of free activities taking place Feb. 11 to 14., including several fun outdoor events at ChillFest.

General skating from 2 to 2:50 p.m. at the Mary Brown’s Centre.

Free swims for everyone at the Mews Centre from 6 to 6:50 p.m. Sign-up through RECconnect.

You can participate in:

Presented by the City of St. John's and the Newfoundland and Labrador Folk Arts Society, we’re bringing you a virtual version of our annual Kitchen Party. Hosted by Fergus O'Byrne & Fergus Brown-O’Byrne, will have you tapping yer toes and singing along or grab an instrument or just tune-in and be entertained.

Heroes’ Family Fun Afternoon from 12 to 4 p.m. at The Loop. Dress up as your favorite hero while skating. There will be special appearances by hero characters.

Want to try something new?

Snow-ga, enjoy outdoor winter yoga classes from 12:15 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. for all-ages and skill levels in Bowring Park. Registration on Eventbrite is required.

Freez’n Fun Run 9 to 11 a.m. for all-ages and abilities at Bowring Park. Registration on Eventbrite is required.

General skating from 2 to 2:50 p.m. at the Mary Brown’s Centre.

Sweetheart Night from 6 to 9 p.m. at The Loop in collabortaion with Lawnya Vawnya. Skate with your sweetheart while a DJ is spinning some of your favorite love songs.

Scavenger Hunt

All weekend you can participate in a Winter Scavenger Hunt. Come out to Bowring, Bannerman, or Victoria Park to find five mystery word signs hidden throughout each park to unscramble a phrase. Email the phrase to specialevents@stjohns.ca with Subject Line “Scavenger Hunt” to be entered to win a prize. You can also check out the lights at Bowring Park.
