City Offering Brier Ticket Draw to Residents

Residents of St. John’s are invited to enter a random draw to win tickets to regular games and playoff games during the closing weekend at the Tim Horton’s Brier, being hosted in the City from March 4 to 12.

“The City of St. John’s is pleased to be an official Community Partner and sponsor for the 2017 Tim Horton’s Brier,” said Mayor Dennis O’Keefe. “We are excited to show the curling world and the nation our vibrant city.  We have excellent facilities at Mile One Centre and the St. John’s Convention Centre, and we want to share this experience with our residents.”

Residents interested in attending one of the eleven regular draws from March 4 – 10, or one of the playoff games from March 10 – 12, please email communications@stjohns.ca indicating full name and street address with the subject line “Send me to the Brier” on or before Thursday, Feb. 23. The draw for tickets will take place Friday, Feb. 24. Only one entry per resident will be accepted.

Games are scheduled at 10 a.m., 3 p.m. and 8 p.m.; tickets will be assigned as they are drawn, participants cannot select which draw they will attend. Winners will be contacted by email and a full list will be posted on the City’s website on Friday, Feb. 24.

Tickets must be picked up at the Access Centre, St. John’s City Hall, from Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. until March 3, 2017. Winners will be required to supply proof of identification to pick up their tickets. Any tickets not claimed by March 3 will be offered to participants of the City’s R.E.A.L. program.
