City Streets Tonnes Cleaner

The City of St. John's 2015 summer litter crew finished up on Friday, Aug. 14 and picked up a total of 1902 bags of litter, weighing in at a whopping 25 tonnes! This litter crew was mandated to clean the main streets of the city.
The 2015 summer litter crew picked up all kinds of litter... from the usual chip bags and candy bar wrappers, lots of coffee cups, numerous liquor and beer bottles in all sizes, pieces of metal, some Household Hazardous Waste, tires and more.
The program was a success and will be continued again in 2016.
