Construction work to build a pump track on the grounds of Quidi Vidi Park will begin this week and is expected to be completed by mid-July. The project is in the green space near the existing dog park on The Boulevard.

The construction zone will be fenced off with no public access to the area during this period. Heavy equipment will require occasional access to The Boulevard, please use caution in the area and obey all posted signage. Public access will be maintained to the dog park, walking trail and parking area. A map of the construction area is available here.

Pump tracks provide recreation opportunities and are used to develop biking and riding skills for all ages and abilities. They are suitable for scooters, skateboards and wheelchairs. The project was first announced last year as a community-led initiative with the Avalon Mountain Bike Association. An image of the pump track design is available here.
