Downtown Parking Permits Must Not Be Sold

The City of St. John's would like to remind residents who hold valid Residential and Visitors Downtown Parking Permits that they must adhere to the Residential Parking Area By-Law.
 
Visitor Downtown Parking Permits allow visitors to park within the residential area for the sole purpose of visiting the registered permit holder. Section 19 of the Residential Parking Area By-Law states permits shall not be re-sold or used for purposes other than for that which they were issued. 
 
Failure to comply with this by-law will result in ticketing and/or cancellation of the permit. Furthermore, residents in violation of this by-law will be denied future permits.
