Downtown Snow Removal Operations

Motorists in the City of St. John’s are advised that nighttime snow removal and street widening operations in the designated downtown area will continue throughout the winter on an as required basis.

Residents can check which streets are scheduled for snow removal on the City's daily snow removal list.

All vehicles must be removed from scheduled areas between 12:30 and 7:30 a.m. Vehicles impeding the snow removal operation will be ticketed or removed and impounded at the owner's expense. The impounding fee is $141.25 plus $3 for each day the vehicle is held in storage.
 
Please call the Downtown Snow Removal Line at (709) 576-SNOW (7669) daily after 3 p.m. for an updated list of streets scheduled for overnight snow removal and/or widening operations. This information is also available on the City’s website and by e-mail subscription.
