Enjoy the performances and entertainment at the Downtown Pedestrian Mall this weekend! Don't forget to explore more areas that are outside the mall and support local businesses in the area.

Events may be cancelled or postponed due to inclement weather.

Friday, August 20

Ordinary Spokes
Duckworth West
2 to 4 p.m.
Ordinary Spokes will be giving brief demos on how to change a tire, adjust seat post and how to be a safer cyclist. They have prizes for participants, as well as stickers and flyers to give out. 

Dance NL
Duckworth East
Noon to 4 p.m.
DanceNL is hosting dance professional presentations. Each artist will give a synopsis of their work and some context around its development. Be sure to stop by and learn more about dance happening in NL. They will have a variety of dance styles featured including Jazz, Modern, Tap, Latin, African and Contemporary. 

Saturday, August 21

Association Communautaire Francophone de Saint-Jean

Noon to 4 p.m.
Take part in giveaways and an interactive board game about the French communities and culture.

Canadian Mental Health Association NL
Water Street  (near RBC and Outfitters)
Noon to 4 p.m.
Canadian Mental Health Association NL will have a tumble prize! Walk up, ask for a spin, and get a self-care tip and a button! Visitors are also invited take a picture with the CMHANL sign and post to social media, and to learn more about their activities and programs.

Jason March – Pop up Performance
Duckworth East (greenspace near Prescott)
Noon to 1 p.m.

Water Street (near RBC and Outfitters)
1 to 2 p.m.

Originally from Green’s Harbour, Trinity Bay Jason has been a resident of St. John’s and involved in the local music industry for the past 20 years through performing and instructing both individual and group lessons. He performs instruments such as the fiddle, accordion, bodhran, mandolin and guitar.  
 

Raiders of Avalon (Pirates)
Duckworth from 2 to 3 p.m.
Water Street from 3 to 4 p.m.
Pirates will continue to roam the Pedestrian Mall this Saturday.
