Emergency Preparedness Week

Tuesday, May 04, 2021 - 6:45 AM

The City of St. John’s and the St. John’s Regional Fire Department are recognizing May 2 to 8 as Emergency Preparedness Week (EP Week).

Emergencies can happen at any time and without warning. It is important for all residents to be prepared so you can respond quickly to help yourself and others.

EP Week encourages all Canadians to take three simple steps to become better prepared to face a range of emergencies:

  • Know the risks
  • Make a plan
  • Get an emergency kit

Emergency Preparedness Week is a national awareness initiative that has taken place annually since 1996.
