Exploratory Work Scheduled to Begin on Sunday

Exploratory work on water and sewer infrastructure on Water Street is scheduled to begin on Sunday, July 12, between Waldegrave Street and Bishop’s Cove/Adelaide Street.  Work will take place daily from 11 p.m until 7 a.m., and regular updates will be provided as the work progresses.
 
The portion of Water Street between Waldegrave Street and Bishop’s Cove/Adelaide Street will be closed to traffic during this time and parking meters will be bagged in advance to advise motorists of the overnight restriction.  Vehicles parked in violation of the overnight restriction will be ticketed and/or towed. 
 
Exploratory work will involve minor excavation and drilling to video the existing sewer systems, trace the water mains, and confirm the location of underground electrical.
