Goulds Sewage Pumping Station Replacement

Tuesday, December 19, 2017 - 10:00 AM

Construction will begin in the coming weeks to replace the existing Goulds Sewage Pumping Station located at 557 Main Road. Built in 1983 the facility has out lived its useful life and requires complete replacement.

A new modernized facility will be built adjacent to the old facility and will convey the sewage flows in the Goulds area. This facility will be remotely monitored and operated through the Riverhead Wastewater Treatment Facility.

The scope of the construction work will include deep excavation for the building foundation adjacent to the old facility. During this time there may be significant noise related to the excavation work. The City of St. John's apologizes for any inconvenience. The new facility is estimated to be completed in late 2018.

Motorists and pedestrians please pay attention and abide to all signage posted in the area. For further details and an opportunity to ask questions about the project visit enagagestjohns.ca, and click Capital Projects > Goulds Sewage Pumping Station Replacement Project.
