Grant Applications Available: Community Services and Housing
Annually, the City of St. John’s provides funding for important projects through a variety of grant programs.
Applications are now being accepted for the Community Services Grants program, which provides financial assistance to organizations and individuals whose applications align with the City’s strategic directions. Over $1.7M in total funding is available in the following categories:
- Community Groups and Organizations
- Special Events and Festivals
- Sporting Groups and Organizations
- Artists and Arts Organizations
- Capital Grants
The Housing Catalyst Fund is also accepting applications for funding. This joint program is administered in partnership with the Community Housing Transformation Centre (CHTC). Grants are provided for practical and collaborative projects that produce tangible housing solutions for individuals and families with low to moderate incomes. To date, over 24 community projects have been supported through the grant program, with $150,000 in grant funding available this year.
The deadline to apply and submit required attachments for all grants listed above is 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26.

Grants for Youth Travel are open year-round while Heritage Financial Incentive Program grant applications open annually from March 1 to May 1.
