Help spread the love❤️in your community this Valentine’s Day! You can learn about how City of St. John’s Neighbourhood Watch program can help bring your neighbours together and move together towards a safer, more connected neighbourhood.

What is Neighbourhood Watch?

Neighbourhood Watch is a free and easy community-based crime prevention program that has been used internationally to reduce crime by reducing the opportunities for crime to happen. It involves neighbours working together, being alert to suspicious activities, and looking out for one another to help create a safer environment for everyone.

Would Neighbourhood Watch Work in Your Neighbourhood?

A Neighbourhood Watch can be anywhere as there are people who want to reduce and prevent crime in their neighbourhood. A street, a cul-de-sac, a block of apartments - there is room for all kinds of neighbourhoods, big or small, in the program. You can help to start one in your neighbourhood, or if there is one already active, you can join anytime.

Where Can You Lean More?

It’s easy! Simply check out our website for more information, drop an email to neighbourhoodservices@stjohns.ca, or call Jennifer at 726-0180.

Please note that Neighbourhood Watch Information Sessions are currently available in on-line format only.
