The City of St. John’s recognizes June 21, 2022, as National Indigenous Peoples Day.

National Indigenous Peoples Day takes place each year on the summer solstice, June 21. It is an opportunity to learn about the diverse cultures, voices, experiences and histories of Indigenous People. Learning more and celebrating Indigenous Peoples and culture is one step forward on the path to reconciliation. The Government of Canada provides resources and information about National Indigenous Peoples Day online.
