Planning for the new Kenmount Terrace Community Park, off Messenger Drive, is nearly complete.  The park layout and amenity overview is now available to residents interested in learning more.

“I thank residents of St. John’s and Kenmount Terrace in particular, who have been engaged with this project from the very start,” said Ward Four Councillor Sheilagh O’Leary. “On behalf of staff and the project consultant I encourage residents to attend our information session to learn more about the amenities that Kenmount Terrace Community Park will offer.”

On Thursday, February 9 the City of St John’s and the design consultant will hold two drop in style information sessions at St. Michael and All Angels Church, 75 Kiwanis Street: 5:30 to 6:30 and 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. All are welcome. City staff and members of council will be in attendance. Details about the project are also available online at engagestjohns.ca.

In 2015 the City struck a steering committee comprised of members of the public, city staff and Council to provide guidance in preparation of the park concept plan which was approved in 2015.

Construction for this project is slated to begin in spring 2017.
