Labour Day Holiday City Schedule

Due to the Labour Day holiday on Monday, Sept. 6, all City offices and facilities will be closed.

City Council meeting will occur on Tuesday, Sept. 7 at 3 p.m. All Council meetings are available virtually at stjohns.ca/councilmeetings.

Please note:

• Waste and recycling will not be collected on Labour Day. On Tuesday, Sept. 7, collection will occur in Area 1 and 2, see chart below for details.
• Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility is closed to residential and commercial users on Labour Day.
• Bannerman Park, Bowring Park and Kenmount Terrace Community Centre splash pads will be open from 9 a.m. to dusk. Note that Monday, Sept. 6 is the final day of operation for the splash pads.
• Public washrooms will be open at Bannerman Park, Bowring Park, Kenmount Terrace Community Park, and Quidi Vidi Lake.
• Parking regulations will not be enforced, as Monday is a Shops Closing Holiday.
