The Loop: Ice Making and COVID-19 Guidelines

City staff have begun the ice making at The Loop in Bannerman Park; however, it is not suitable for skating at this time. Do not skate or walk on The Loop until the opening is officially announced.

Due to COVID-19 guidelines and precautions, the number of attendees at The Loop at one time will be restricted. Complete details of those restrictions will be released when finalized.

To aid in monitoring attendee numbers, a fence will be constructed around the perimeter of The Loop. The fence will have accessible access to The Loop at the entryway from the Bannerman Park parking lot along Bannerman Road.
Construction of the fence is scheduled to begin Friday, December 11.

Once the fence is constructed, the operating guidelines are finalized and the ice making is complete, the City will provide an update on the official opening date for The Loop.
