New Public Transportation Engagement Opportunities

Residents are invited to participate in two new engagement opportunities at engagestjohns.ca; a review of Metrobus and GoBus, and the development of a new Bike Master Plan.

Metrobus and GoBus
The City has engaged Dillon Consulting Limited to assist in a review of transit services, both Metrobus and GoBus, in order to provide direction for transit that best reflects the needs, values, and priorities of the community. These directions will guide how transit is planned, implemented, and funded over the next five to ten years.

Bike Master Plan
The City of St. John’s is also undertaking a comprehensive Bike Master Plan. The consulting team is comprised of Trace Planning and Design, Stantec, and the Planning Partnership. This plan will provide an update to, and expand on, the 2009 St. John’s Cycling Master Plan. Plan development will take a ground-up approach that explores the reasons residents cycle, starting from their front doors, into their neighbourhoods, communities, the city and the greater region, while utilizing a network of greenway, trail, and street connections to important economic, recreation, and cultural destinations.
