The City has launched a new web page that provides a one-stop shop for planning applications.

The web page provides the opportunity for residents to provide input and view the status of applications as they move through the City’s approval process. Applications will be added as they become available starting from June 2022. The new site allows the City to provide an improved customer experience for those interested in planning applications.

Some of the features of the new site:

  • All information related to applications are in one place
  • Ability to view City decision notes, amendments, land use reports and status of applications as they go through the Council approval process
  • Easy access to ask questions or provide input to Council on decisions related to applications when open for public consultation
  • Frequently asked questions section to learn about planning at the City

To provide feedback on the site, residents must set up an account – click ‘register’ on the Engage St. John’s website. The City will also continue to accept feedback through the City Clerk’s Office via mail or email. This is a one-year pilot project where success will be monitored throughout the year. Users will be asked for feedback throughout and at the end of the pilot period.
