Nominations for the St. John’s Applause Awards are extended until April 7

The St. John’s Applause Awards, combines the City’s individual awards under one banner to celebrate outstanding contributions and achievements of individuals and organizations that help make our city a great place to live, learn, work, play and visit.

Look to their neighbours, friends, community leaders, and local organizations for those who could qualify as recipients of St. John’s Applause Awards.

Nominations are open in five major award categories:

Senior of The Year Award
Recognizes a senior 60 years or older who has made significant volunteer contributions to the city by improving the quality of life for citizens through community involvement. This award is sponsored by Tiffany Village Retirement Residence.

Tourism Award
The pinnacle Legend Award recognizes an individual or organization who has made significant contributions to the enhancement of tourism over many years.

Youth of The Year Awards
Open to residents 12 to 18 years old who through their volunteering, extracurricular activities and community involvement have helped make St. John’s a better place to live. Nominations are accepted for Junior and Senior Youth of The Year.

Heritage Awards
Various awards to recognize commercial and residential property owners of Heritage buildings or buildings in a Heritage Area for their work in rehabilitating, restoring, and celebrating our rich built heritage.

How can you nominate someone?
If you know a deserving individual or group, nominate them today. To submit a nomination, please complete the nomination forms for each award category at StJohns.ca/Applause or call 311 by April 7.
