The call for nominations for the St. John’s Municipal Council is now over.
Mayor Danny Breen, Deputy Mayor Sheilagh O’Leary and Councillor Ian Froude (Ward 4) have won by acclamation their respective seats which were uncontested during the nomination process.
The deadline for candidates to withdraw their nomination is Wednesday, Sept. 1 at 4 p.m.
The official candidate list for all remaining seats will be released on Thursday, Sept. 2.
