Orangeman's Day Holiday City Schedule

Due to the Orangeman’s Day holiday on Monday, July 13, most City offices and facilities will be closed. This includes Access St. John’s front counter service, and the Animal Care and Adoption Centre.
 
The City Council meeting regularly scheduled for every second Monday in the summer will take place on Tuesday, July 14 at 4:30 p.m.
 
Please note the following exceptions:

  • Garbage and recycling collection is unaffected by the holiday. As per the regular schedule Garbage (1A/1B) and Recycling (1B) will be collected on Monday.
  • The Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility is open for commercial users only from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It is always closed to residential users on Mondays.
  • The Visitor Information Centre at 348 Water Street is open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Visitor Information Centre at the Quidi Vidi Village Plantation is always closed on Mondays.
  • All recreation facilities are open; however the Shea Heights, Southlands and Kilbride Lions Community Centres are open only during the hours of scheduled programs.
  • Parking meter regulations will be enforced, as Orangeman’s Day is not a shops closing holiday.
