Parks and Debris Clean Up

Bannerman Park is re-opened to the public.

The upper portion of Victoria Park, from the ball field to Hamilton Avenue, is also re-opened to the public.

Bowring Park will re-open to the public at 4 p.m. today, Friday, Sept. 17 with the exception South Brook Trail and other small areas that are clearly marked as closed with snow fencing. Broken branches remain in some trees however do not pose a hazard; staff will be removing them as time allows. Equipment and crews are working throughout Bowring Park and it remains a closed work site until 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17.

Debris and broken branches have been removed from these parks with the exception of small areas in Bowring Park and the lower portion of Victoria Park, from the ball field to Water Street, which is expected to remain closed for another week.

For other City parks, playgrounds, trails and open spaces, staff are inspecting all sites for tree debris and other hazards. There are approximately 140 of these sites to inspect and work will be ongoing for some time.
