Pedestrian Mall Events: September 3 to 5

It's the final weekend for the 2021 Pedestrian Mall event (July 2 to September 6).

Performances and entertainment will be featured throughout the Pedestrian Mall from September 3 to 5! Don't forget to explore more areas that are outside the mall, and support local businesses in the area.

Events may be cancelled or postponed due to inclement weather.

Dance NL
Duckworth Street East
Saturday, Sept. 4 from noon to 4 p.m.
DanceNL is hosting dance professional presentations at our station. Each artist will give a synopsis of their work and some context around its development. Be sure to stop by and learn more about dance happening in NL. They will have a variety of dance styles featured including Jazz, Modern, Tap, Latin, African, and Contemporary. 

St. Pat’s Dancers
Water Street between Ayre's Cove and Beck's Cove
Saturday, Sept. 4 from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
St. Pat's Dancers hail from St. John's, Newfoundland, and Labrador. Carrying on the tradition of Newfoundland/Irish tap dancing since the 1930s, they are the oldest dancing troupe in Atlantic Canada. 
A volunteer organization with dancers ranging from 5 to 30 years old.

St. John’s Storytelling
Water Street
Sunday, Sept. 5 from noon to 4:00 pm.
St. John’s Storytelling will be collecting short, family-friendly stories from people on the pedestrian mall. Come on down and receive a free St John's Storytelling Festival shirt in exchange for your story!
