New this year – George Street and sections of Duckworth Street are in the Downtown Pedestrian Mall this summer.

2021 marks the 25th year of the Newfoundland and Labrador Book Awards so WANL is offering a 25 question NL writers’ quiz! Participants answer questions on their own cell phones (in order to adhere to public health guidelines) and winners will receive books from WANL members! We will also have a public poem, using a Flipboard, where passers-by contribute one line at a time. The final poem will be posted online for everyone to enjoy.
