Public Engagement: Affordable Housing Waterford Bridge Road and Forest Road

Tuesday, July 20, 2021 - 7:45 AM

The City of St. John’s 10-Year Affordable Housing Strategy outlines a commitment to identify city-owned vacant land for potential redevelopment as affordable housing. Public engagement is underway to collect feedback from the community regarding City-owned land at 375 Waterford Bridge Road and 245 Forest Road.

There are no planned projects on either site at this time.

Residents and businesses in the areas surrounding both properties have been notified and are encouraged to participate in public engagement about the potential for redevelopment as affordable housing locations. Feedback is being collected about the current use of the land, concerns around possible development, and the type of housing facility that would be best suited to the area.
