Public Engagement: Resilient St. John’s Community Climate Plan

Wednesday, November 24, 2021 - 6:15 AM

The City is launching the second and final stage of public consultation for the Resilient St. John’s Community Climate Plan.

A virtual public session is scheduled:
Thursday, Dec. 2 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Register here.

This session will provide an opportunity for the community to participate in a collaborative conversation, to learn about climate change and provide feedback on the draft plan.

The Resilient St. John’s Community Climate Plan identifies a 30-year strategy, with specific actions for the upcoming years to reduce our community's greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, while re-enforcing efforts to stabilize energy costs by supporting energy efficiency. It will also provide strategies to further prepare the City to address challenges and opportunities presented by the impacts from climate change.

The public can participate in the discussion through EngageStJohns.ca, which includes useful background information, a discussion forum, analysis information, and drafts of the plan.

Residents may call 311 or 754-CITY to provide comment, or email engage@stjohns.ca.
