Public Information Sessions for Envision Scheduled

The City of St. John’s invites residents and others with an interest in the City’s new Municipal Plan to attend public information sessions this month.
 
Envision St. John’s, a new municipal plan for St. John’s, was tabled for public review and discussion at a regular meeting of Council on July 2. As part of the implementation process, the plan is being shared with a variety of individuals and groups, including the general public.
 
“We want to provide another opportunity for residents to offer comments and share their opinions on our proposed municipal plan,” said Councillor Tom Hann, Chair of the Standing Committee on Planning and Development. “This is an important document that will shape the future of our City for years to come and it is important to us to know that the vision of St. John’s it presents is reflective of what our residents see for the City, too.”
                                       
Three public information sessions are scheduled:

• Tuesday, September 16, 7 p.m. – 9 p.m., Foran/ Greene Room, St. John’s City Hall
• Saturday, September 20, 10 a.m. – Noon, MacDonald Drive Junior High School (childcare services will be provided for this session), 110MacDonald Drive
• Tuesday, September 23, 7 p.m. – 9 p.m., St. John’s Shrine Club, 530 Topsail Road

Envision St. John’s is available online along with fact sheets that describe the key points in the document’s key themes.
