Residents are advised that the bridge on Pearltown Road at South Brook will be replaced in 2016. The work is anticipated to begin in June and is expected to last for three to four months. Due to the nature of the work, the bridge will be closed to through traffic during this time.

For residents with questions or concerns about this project, a public meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 12 at 7 p.m. at the Southlands Community Centre, 40 Teakwood Drive, St. John’s.

The general scope of work will be the removal and replacement of the existing bridge with a new pre-cast concrete box culvert.

All emergency responding organizations have been notified. Residents will have to adjust routes accordingly if required.

If you are unable to attend the meeting and require further information please contact Access St. John’s by calling 311 or 709-754-CITY (2489) or online at www.stjohns.ca/access-311.
