Quidi Vidi Pedestrian-only Zone is Open

The Quidi Vidi Village pedestrian-only zone is open now on weekends until September 5. Barrow’s Road and Stone’s Road will be closed to through traffic from noon to 10 p.m., Friday to Sunday, with barricades and staffing during these hours.
 
Quidi Vidi Village is a natural draw for visitors and tourists and the pedestrian-only zone provides safe and inviting access to the community including for those living and working in the area.
 
Local traffic will be permitted and access will be granted for Quidi Vidi Village Artisan Studio vendors and deliveries for business as well as users of the slip way for recreational fishing.
 
Biking, skateboarders and scooters are welcomed. It is critical to the safety of the public that you ride slowly and respectfully and walk your bike through the Quidi Village area if necessary. There are bike racks installed in various areas.
 
There are temporary accessible parking spots available in front of the Artisan Studio to help provide a more inclusive and welcoming environment for all ages and abilities.
