Regatta Day Holiday City Schedule

The Royal St. John’s Regatta is set to occur on Wednesday, August 7. If the weather is not suitable on that date and the Regatta Committee postpones the event, the following list pertains to whichever day the Royal St. John’s Regatta occurs.
 
Residents are advised that due to the Royal St. John’s Regatta holiday all City offices are closed.
 
Please note the following:

• Garbage and recycling collection will continue as normal and is not affected by the holiday.
• The Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility is open for commercial users from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and residential users from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Visitor Information Services at the Welcome Centre, 348 Water Street will be open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• The outdoor swimming pool at Bannerman Park is closed all day, however Bowring Park pool will open at 2 p.m. for public swimming following the Kids of Steel Triathlon.
• Splash Pads are open from 9 a.m. to dusk at Bowring Park, Bannerman Park and Kenmount Terrace Community Centre.
• Parking meter regulations will not be enforced on Regatta Day as it’s a Shop Closing Holiday. 

Please note road closures and parking restrictions will be in place to facilitate the Royal St. John’s Regatta.
