Regatta Day Holiday City Schedule

The Royal St. John’s Regatta is set to occur on Wednesday, August 4. Due to public health guidelines, there are no garden party events or lakeside activities this year. The public are encouraged to watch the races from home.
 
If the weather is not suitable on August 4 and the Regatta Committee postpones the event, the following list pertains to whichever day the Royal St. John’s Regatta occurs.
 
All City offices and facilities are closed on Regatta Day.

Please note the following exceptions:

• Garbage and recycling collection will continue and is not affected by the holiday.
• Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility is open for commercial and residential users.
• Outdoor pools at Bannerman Park and Bowring Park are open on Regatta Day.
• Splash Pads are open from 9 a.m. to dusk at Bowring Park, Bannerman Park and Kenmount Terrace Community Centre.
• Parking regulations will not be enforced on Regatta Day as it’s a Shop Closing Holiday. 

Please note that road closures and parking restrictions will be in place to facilitate the Royal St. John’s Regatta.
