Remembrance Day Holiday City Schedule

Due to the Remembrance Day holiday on Friday, Nov. 11, all City offices and facilities including the Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility will be closed.  

Please note the following:

• Parking meter regulations will not be enforced on Friday.
• Access front counter service at City Hall will be unavailable on Friday.
• There is no waste collection on Remembrance Day holiday. Garbage and recycling collection for area 5A, and garbage collection for area 5B is moved to Saturday, Nov. 12. Waste collection returns to the normal fixed schedule the week after, beginning Monday, Nov. 14. 

Remembrance Day Ceremony
The Royal Canadian Legion Newfoundland and Labrador Remembrance Day Parade and Ceremony will take place beginning at the Sergeants’ Memorial, Queen’s Road at 10:30 a.m. The parade will arrive at the National War Memorial at 10:45 a.m. For more information about the ceremony please contact Provincial Command 753-1054.
