Seniors Housing Forum: Registration Open to the Public

The City of St. John’s together with the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) is hosting a Seniors Housing Forum on Tuesday, Dec. 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Foran/Greene Room at City Hall.

The City’s Affordable Housing Business Plan aims to create 500 homes with our partners by 2017, including 100 age friendly homes. Working with our partners the goal is to create concrete, collaborative solutions that meet local seniors housing needs.

Affordable housing is the foundation of a safe, prosperous and healthy community. Forum presenters include:

  • Seniors Resource Centre NL and the Seniors and Aging Division
  • Kim Street, Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist
  • Pastor Gordon Young, Eastern Gate Manor
  • CMHC, NLHC, End Homelessness St. John’s and the Faith and Housing Coalition

This session free of charge and open to the general public. Registration is required for all participants and light lunch will be provided.
