Seniors’ Week is being celebrated from October 3 to 7. This year’s theme is ‘Seniors Reconnecting.’

The City of St. John’s values the contributions of seniors in the community. Join us as we celebrate seniors and older adults during Seniors’ Week with free activities to enjoy. All events are free but require registration.

Active for Life Demo
Staff will be offering a demo of Active for Life, a fall prevention program that focuses on strength, balance and flexibility. Register here.

Ageless Grace
Elaine Dunphy founder of Nia on the Rock and Ageless Grace on the Rock will provide an introductory class comprised of both Nia and Ageless Grace movements. The Nia Philosophy is about connecting with your body, mind, spirit and emotions and giving you the opportunity to move your body’s way through a series of 52 gentle movements - done to music. Ageless Grace is a brain fitness program that uses 21 simple tools for lifelong comfort and ease - also done to music and seated for this session. Both classes combined will give you an hour of finding your own joy through movement and offer you an opportunity to bring your inner five-year-old out to play and have some fun. Register here.

Seniors' Ride Free Day
Metrobus will also be offering Seniors' Ride Free Day on Oct. 7 which includes Metrobus, GoBus and Community Bus for seniors over 65.
