Space Available in Fall Recreation Programs

We have space in some of our fall recreation programs. Our Home Alone Course is a great way for children ages 10-12 to learn safety and life skills when unsupervised. We are also offering youth ball hockey for youth 12-16. Have you been wanting to learn rug hooking or knitting? Or why not give painting a try? We are also offering our Technology for Beginners Part 2 course which will allow you to expand your knowledge in the basics of email, social media, downloading photos and much more.
 
Home Alone Course - a safety and life skills program for children (ages 10 to 12) to develop independence to be unsupervised for short periods of time. Topics include online safety, fire safety, street smarts, emergency response, healthy eating, and a home readiness plan. Bring a lunch.

 
Youth Ball Hockey Program
An opportunity for youth to take part in a recreational ball hockey night. Teams will be assigned on a nightly basis. Participants are required to wear helmets that are CSA approved with full mask. City of St. John’s, ball hockey equipment is available on site to use if participants need. Register here.
 

 
Rug Hooking- Blue Jean Bag- Bird Design - Blue jean bag with bird design. The hooking on this piece will include 3D work and adding zippers and bling. Open to beginners and experienced rug hookers. Register here.

 
Knitting – Come Learn to knit, start with the basics and finish with a project. Ages 15 to adult. Start up materials provided. Register here.
