Move it Family Fun Day

This week the City of St.John’s is celebrating National Child Day.

Mayor O’Keefe and City Councillors will be joined by the winners of the Meet the Mayor contest today, to kick off this week’s activities at City Hall. The two winners will receive prizes, a tour of some City facilities, and will read the proclamation for National Child Day during the weekly Council meeting.

The Government of Canada designated November 20 as National Child Day to commemorate the adoption and convention of the rights of the child. It’s a day to celebrate the rights of children everywhere, to help them live happy, healthy lives so that each child may reach their full potential.

The City is celebrating children with a variety of events and activities throughout the week. All families are encouraged to participate.
