Traffic pilot project removed at Quidi Vidi Road

Infrastructure to support changes for two traffic pilot projects downtown has been removed in advance of snow clearing operations beginning for the winter. Former conditions have now been reinstated.

In August, the City announced two traffic pilot projects downtown: the reconfiguration of Church Hill with Veteran’s Square; and Duckworth Street, Plymouth Road one-way loop. The purpose of these projects was to test enhancements to pedestrian safety, traffic flow, and parking availability.

The City is seeking public feedback on these and other pilot projects through an online survey. You can learn more about traffic pilot projects online at engagestjohns.ca.
