Update on City Services for July 3

Recreation
The splash pad at Bowring Park is open and in operation daily from 8 a.m. to dusk. Splash pads at Bannerman and Kenmount Terrace Parks are anticipated to open soon.

City of St. John’s recreation facilities and community centre’s open Monday, July 6 for day camps and swims in indoor pools. Aquatics fitness classes in indoor pools begins Monday, July 13.

To maintain physical distancing requirements, indoor swims and aquatics fitness will require pre-registration and payment for the location and time slot you wish to attend. Registration opens for swims on Monday, July 6 and for aquatic fitness on Tuesday, July 7. Limited facility rentals are available; contact the applicable community centre.

Registration for indoor swims and aquatics fitness will take place online at stjohns.ca/RECconnect (open or update an account beforehand) and by calling 576-8499 or 576-8631. If online or telephone registration is not an option for you, booking in-person is possible at the Paul Reynolds Community Centre or H.G.R Mews Community Centre.

Parking Permits
The process to renew expired Residential Parking Permits is being completed. An update will be provided once the new process for renewal is finalized.

The City will not issue tickets to vehicles that display expired 2020 Residential Parking Permits, provided permits are used in the correct Area.
