The City of St. John’s is using the Vote by Mail system for the upcoming Municipal Election on Tuesday, Sept. 28.

Vote by Mail kits have been inducted into the mail system and should be received by residents who registered to vote before Friday, Sept. 17.

While the City makes every attempt to ensure the accuracy of the voters list, residents are asked to confirm that they are registered. To determine if your name is on the voters’ list, you can:

  • Check the on-line Voter Registration Portal; or
  • Call 311 or 754-CITY (2489); or
  • Visit Access St. John’s on the first floor of City Hall (10 New Gower Street).

Voters can mail their completed kit through Canada Post until September 23. Completed kits can also be deposited into a secure drop box located outside the entrance of City Hall, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, until 8 p.m. on September 28.

After September 23, Vote by Mail kits can be picked up and dropped off at City Hall.

On September 28, Election Day, residents can visit one of the  satellite drop-off centers in their ward to drop off completed kits or register to receive a ballot and complete their vote in person.
