The newly formed Kenmount Terrace Community Park Steering Committee invites the community to provide their perspectives about the new park planned for the area.

During the inaugural committee meeting it was noted that, since usage will not be limited to those living in the immediate area, the communication and public engagement process will involve both residents of the Kenmount Terrace-Messenger Drive area, and residents of the City at large.

Online Survey
A survey regarding the future of the community park is available online; all residents are encouraged to participate: http://www.tracestudio.ca/stjohns-kenmount.

In Person Session
This family friendly community workshop about the future park is scheduled to take place at 7 p.m., March 24, at the Elim Pentecostal Tabernacle, 565 Kenmount Road, St. John’s.

Steering Committee

To date, the Kenmount Terrace Community Park Steering Committee has met once.  The consultant, Trace Studio, has held two focus groups to obtain perspectives from elementary and junior high students who live in the area.

The Steering Committee is comprised of seven residents of Kenmount Terrace, City staff and Ward 4 Councillor, Bernard Davis.

The purpose of the committee is to provide a conduit to the community, bringing information about the project to their own networks; while guiding and supporting the public engagement process. The committee’s work is expected to be completed by early summer, 2015.
