Water Street Exploratory Work Continues August 24

Thursday, August 20, 2015 - 4:15 PM

Motorists, residents, and businesses are advised that beginning on Monday, August 24, the final phase of exploratory work on Water Street will be completed.

During the next two weeks work will include sewer investigations (camera and dye testing) and will take place from 11 p.m until 7 a.m. beginning Monday night, ending Friday morning. No excavations are required for this phase of the exploratory work.

Since this work is less intrusive Water Street will not be closed to through traffic, but specific work sites will be controlled by flagpersons, as required.

Some meters may be bagged early in the day to advise motorists of overnight restrictions to facilitate the work. Vehicles parked in violation of the overnight restriction will be ticketed and/or towed.

Additional traffic information will be posted under Public Advisories on the City’s website, if there are any changes.  Residents and businesses can sign up for email notifications here, please choose Traffic Advisories.
