Crossing Guard holding a stop sign near a school bus

The City of St. John’s is looking for crossing guards to join our team. If you’re looking for a part-time employment in the community, this may be the right job for you.

Crossing guards are designated to primary and elementary schools and are onsite for school arrival and dismissal times. They work 10 hours a week and are needed for two hours a day – one hour in the morning and one hour in the afternoon.

Being a crossing guard is a great way to be connected and make a difference in the community. Crossing guards play an important role in keeping children safe on their way to and from school by assisting with the crossing of children in a safe and controlled environment. They are valued members of the school communities.

If you are looking for part-time employment and want to be involved in your community, come join our team.
