Winter Activity Centre Now Open

The Winter Activity Centre is now open for the season. During the winter the C. A. Pippy Park campground is transformed into an area suitable for snowshoeing and cross country skiing. Trails are lit for evening use and there is no cost to use the trails.

Snowshoes and classic cross country skis are available for rent at the Winter Activity Centre in the North Bank Lodge. For those with physical disabilities a cross country ski sledge and snow coach are available free of charge. 

Cash, debit and Visa/Mastercard/Amex are accepted. Identification, such as a driver’s license, is required for rental. Hourly rates:
·    $5, single
·    $10, family of three
·    $15, family of four or more

Skiing and snowshoeing are weather dependent and conditions can change daily. Call the Info Line at 737-3651 for updates. Current conditions (on January 6) are suitable for snowshoeing only.

This year the Centre hours have been extended to include two additional evenings during the week.
Tuesday 5:30 to 9 p.m.
Thursday 5:30 to 9 p.m. 
Friday 6 to 10 p.m.
Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Sunday 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
