The forum provides an opportunity for youth to network with each other and members of Council and learn more about the youth engagement efforts taking place at the City. Topics include:

  • Economic development
  • Eentrepreneurship
  • Cost of living

“The Youth Engagement Working Group is excited to chat with other youth in the city at our in-person event,” says Maria Penney, co-chair of the YEWG. “The opportunity to provide feedback to the City and directly impact decisions on topics that are relevant to us as a group is wonderful!”

Following this in-person session, the Youth Engagement Working Group will host two virtual brainstorming sessions in November and January. Participants can register for all sessions or any combination of the three planned events.

Aside from the upcoming forum and virtual brainstorm sessions, young people can also register for the Youth Panel, an online space where young people aged 18 to 30 can provide feedback to the City on topics of interest to them via quick and easy to complete surveys.
