Calendar Girls has become the fastest selling play in British theatre history.

Based on the true story of eleven Women's Institute members who posed nude for a calendar to raise money for the Leukemia Research Fund. It begins when Annie's husband John dies of leukemia and she and her best friend Chris resolve to raise money for a new sofa in the local hospital waiting room. They manage to persuade four fellow Women's Institute members to pose nude with them for an "alternative" calendar. With a little help from shy hospital porter and amateur photographer Lawrence the news of the women's charitable venture spreads like wildfire, and soon hordes of press descend on the small Yorkshire village. The calendar quickly becomes a huge success but Chris and Annie's friendship is put to the test under the strain of their new-found fame!

In April the show will also be going to the Provincial Drama Festival in Grand Falls-Windsor. This is about cancer awareness as well as being an amazing true and touching story of compassion and relationships with much humour added!
